This Update focuses on a Talent overhaul and additions to Combat and Death Rules.
Talents
General Changes
Many Talents have been added, removed, or reworked.
Selected Talents now have a black border around their icon on the Talents page and the Talent name is underlined.
Talents now revolve around Paths. While Players can (and should) still choose Talents from any and all Path, Paths provide a clearer concept of playstyle. Some Talents within Paths will synergise with others and some previous Talents within a Path are required selections to unlock others.
All Attacks, Spells, and Heals in the game now deal a percentage of the Creature’s Weapon or Spell Damage Bonus instead of adding the flat value. This provides for much easier scaling and balancing across Classes and NPCs. It also prevents the scenario where a Level 1 Talent is almost as powerful as a Level 20 Talent.
Class Specific
Ashavir, Foggernaut, and Infiltrator Talents temporarily removed for maintenance.
Level 2 Talents released for Binder.
Level 1 to 10 Talents released for Trickster.
Level 1 to 20 Talents released for Priest, Treasure Hunter, Vindicator, and Wizard.
Core Rules
New Additions
A new Executions system has been added, giving Bonuses to Players and NPCs for performing flair-like Killing Blows.
A new Targeted Strikes system has been added, providing additional Tactical options during Combat.
Death
The Rules around Death have been revamped to increase the overall difficulty of encounters and the penalties for Death more significant to both Players and NPCs.
Death Experience penalty increased from 10% to 20% of the Current Level.
Death item Break chance increased from 1% to 2%.
A new Decay system makes it increasingly difficult to Stabilise Creatures that have previously died.
A new Omen system places heavy burdens upon Creatures that die repeatedly in similar situations.
