The blade Temreki is part fable and partly a very real weapon of war. Its purpose is to deprive the wielder’s enemies of their lives. And, some say, of their souls…

It is said Temreki was forged by the Orog Warlord Dro’Sahkhar. For centuries he used it to reap lives. Legends speak of the blade’s appearance changing over time, as the blood of its victims imbued the dark steel with an intensified thirst for killing.

After the Warlord’s fall in the Battle of Shaa’tal, the blade fell into the hands of different forces. Many used it for good deeds, despite its baleful appearance… but in the wrong hands, it became a terrible tool of pain.

“Its mercy frees the cursed, binds the broken, redeems the mad
Nor blight not age can harm its wielder in bloody armor clad
He honors blood of the tribe unmourned, forgotten from afar
He eats their sin, this blade reborn, under moon and star…”

– “Ashlands Scrolls of the Life-Reaver“, traditional folk tale said to be written of Temreki in the 9th century.

Temreki is a special Weapon permanently bound to its wielder. Once a new hand touches the hilt, the sword attunes itself to the wielder’s threads of life. Over time, the sword gathers blood and souls to enhance its combat abilities. The Weapon can be Equipped, removed, and placed in containers without penalty. However, if a new hand touches its hilt, all of its permanent bonuses are reset, and it resumes its basic form.
